The Suspicions

During one of the festivals, Elara, serving as the priestess, starts to feel something is amiss. However, her upbringing prevents her from deeply questioning the beliefs she’s followed her whole life. Rather than fear, she harbors a sense of conflicted hostility toward this tradition, tinged with confusion.
Only Elara holds the dragon-head mask, symbolizing her special status in the festival; all other types of masks represent ordinary people.
Elara’s heart and choices were increasingly swaying uncertainly, like a clock tower's pendulum, caught between opposing forces, each swing pulling her in different directions.
